Thank you for the use of the Mobi-Mat® for our beach bash for autistic children. The mats created an excellent hard surface walkway for our kids with mobility issues. It also allowed the kids to navigate the beach without walking in the hot sand. I received many compliments from our beach guests regarding the Mobi-Mat. The mats have now become a big part of our beach special events and daily beachfront operations.
In early 2010 the City received 6 Mobi-Chair®. Mobi-Chair® are amphibious wheelchairs that are beach and surf accessible. They not only allow someone with special needs to get out and enjoy the beach but also allow them to access the water.
DMS, Inc. teamed up with Elizabeth Wintenberger from Robert Moses Captree State Parks to bring ADA accessibility to the 2-Day Air Show at Jones Beach, NY. The show attracted well over 400,000 visitors. “Our corporate Chalet visitors could not say enough about Mobi-Mat ®”, stated Ms. Wintenberger, who added that she will be following up on how to purchase Mobi-Mat® for future shows.
Having the Mobi-Mat installed from the Cement Public entry way to the ADA entrance of our platform made their accessibility an easy task, which is not always the case for beach events.
